ABOUT US

Dr.Enrique Perez, a native of Mexico City and 24 year-practicing dentist in Cuernavaca, has opened what is believed to be PA’s first ever full-service dental office. The new office is located on the Marina Grande Central and across the street from the School.

He and his wife are now living in Puerto Aventuras. It is a popular tourist and health resort destination, indicating doctors there have the skills to satisfy. In addition to regular dentistry such as fillings, extractions and other purely medically required services, Dr. Perez has taken a number of courses in aesthetic dentistry and Botox application, including a dental implant course at Harvard’s Department of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Perez earned his degrees from Metropolitan and International Universities in Mexico City and various other specialized courses in places like Las Vegas.

His services include orthodontics, the latest in computer generated crowns, caps, implants and laser whitening. His family’s move to Puerto Aventuras from a large 120 square meter office in Central Mexico is simply explained: “This place is so beautiful. It’s amazing. Our son even loves it here.” There are no beaches in Central Mexico. To accommodate walk-in patients when he might not be in the office, he has a sign “OPEN” posted on the door with a phone number to call, 984-113-5097. “I come in every morning and turn everything on. If people call me, I can be there in less than five minutes,” he said. Dr. Perez is a runner and expects to join more than 400 runners in this year’s annual PA runathon.

BLEACHING

Teeth naturally darken with age and their appearance can be affected by the accumulation of surface stains acquired from the use of tobacco products and the consumption of certain foods or drinks.

BRIDGES

A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap -- these two or more anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth -- and a false tooth / teeth in between.

ROOT CANAL

A root canal is a tooth treatment that attempts to save a decayed or infected tooth. The nerve and pulp of the tooth is removed and the area is sealed to prevent an abscess. Your tooth or teeth may be damaged due to tooth injury or filling problems, or because of other things.

CROWNS

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth -- to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.

DENTURES

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

EXTRACTIONS

Although permanent teeth were meant to last a lifetime, there are a number of reasons why tooth extraction may be needed. A very common reason involves a tooth that is too badly damaged, from trauma or decay, to be repaired. Other reasons include:

FILLINGS

To treat a cavity we will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then "fill" the area on the tooth where the decayed material was removed. Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse (such as from nail-biting or tooth grinding).

IMPLANTS

Dental implants are replacement tooth roots. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth that are made to match your natural teeth.

PARTIALS

Partial Dentures are artificial replacements for your natural teeth and gums. If an accident, a disease or poor oral health care has left you with only a few healthy teeth or none at all, your dentist or prosthodontist might suggest dentures to replace your missing teeth.

CLEANING

A deep cleaning at the dentist is also called scaling and planing. This is different from the regular cleaning you get twice a year. It is a deeper cleaning that goes under your gums to prevent or cure gum disease.

X RAYS

Dental X-rays help dentists visualize diseases of the teeth and surrounding tissue that cannot be seen with a simple oral exam. They also help the dentist find and treat dental problems early on, which can help save you money, unnecessary discomfort.

RELINES

YA denture reline is a simple procedure to reshape the underside of a denture so that it fits more comfortably on the user’s gums. Relining is periodically necessary as dentures lose their grip in the mouth. The process is usually affordable and often takes very little time.
